You are one of the few voices crying out from the wilderness on this topic. My prayer is that the Lord will bring the multitudes who have been deceived by this book to your website to get a dose of the truth. God Bless and keep it up!

Comment on A Matter of Doctrine

Looking forward to the week. I have a 50 minute commute to work from the Springs to Englewood. When I tell people this they are amazed I make that drive. But the reality is it is some of the only quality quiet time I get in my day and I use it in prayer and meditation (keeping my eyes on the road and traffic of course!). This has helped me grow through the years and w/o it I wouldn't be in the spiritual condition I am today. What a perfect time to pray, to praise, to ask and to listen. Turn the radio off!

Peace,
-- Paul

Comment on It's OK

Tim,
I really like the "Quick Take" entry on your posts. It is quick, but powerful and I don't always have the time to dig deeper. Thank you for your faithfulness.

Kurt

Comment on Qualified

Excellent entry today! Lately I have been discouraged. I expect non believing souls to come up against the truth and word of God. I don't expect believers to back down from it, though. Yet we do. We don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. We think that the only way that the Gospel will be recieved is if it's delivered in a generic easy to digest form. A soft message slipped in through the back door. Although Paul tells us that we should be careful to feed a new Christian milk and not meat lest they choke he also tells us to be bold in the truths of God. I had a long conversation with my "atheist" daughter in law today whom I love dearly and I didn't back down - I was kind but confident. I believe that God spoke through me to her because what came out of my mouth made so much sense that the opposition had no where left to go. It felt good to me to be bold and I give the glory and credit to Christ everlasting. This war is a spiritual one and I don't want the principals of darkness to ever get that foothold - not ever.

Comment on Getting Along

there is a spiritual axiom that states whenever I'm disturbed the problem is with ME! Sure, people will cause me to become angry but as a Christian I can't live in that for too long, and anything more than 10 minutes is too long for me! I have to examine why I am angry and what part I played in things. If I need to forgive the person then I go about the business of fogiving them! I am constantly reminded of The Lord's Prayer and if I expect to be forgiven I must also forgive; to be perfect as Our heavenly Father is perfect. Impossible for men, but not for God and as long as I'm willing I can count on his help to make it happen. It's a daily practice out there!
Peace,
-- Paul

Comment on Sobriety Test

A good word at just time that I need it. I started my day running with a time for my "hang out time with God" on the docket, but it's 11:30 and it still hasn't happened. However; It will right now. I know it will set the rest of my day right.

In Christ's Service,
Kurt

Comment on Accountable

Tim -- this is a test comment. I want to see if I'll get an email after a comment has been made to the blog. You can delete after I let you know via email if I received an update or not. Great stuff! So important! How can we forget Proverbs 10:11-21!

Comment on Walk It

I always say "if you want to know what I believe watch what I do". I know this can be misleading because I can be living the commandments and principles God teaches but not necessarily be a believer in Christ but "some other power". Regardless, I do feel that we need to show our Faith. It hasn't been the pronouncement of my beliefs that has gained me access to folks to talk about Christ with; it has been my actions. Actions that people see, like being calm in the eye of a storm or being consistently patient, kind and loving. It is action (in my experience) that attracts folks to the God of the Living! Actions definitely speak louder than words.
