I expect non believing souls to come up against the truth and word of God. I don't expect believers to back down from it, though. Yet we do. We don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. We think that the only way that the Gospel will be recieved is if it's delivered in a generic easy to digest form. A soft message slipped in through the back door. Although Paul tells us that we should be careful to feed a new Christian milk and not meat lest they choke he also tells us to be bold in the truths of God. I had a long conversation with my "atheist" daughter in law today whom I love dearly and I didn't back down - I was kind but confident. I believe that God spoke through me to her because what came out of my mouth made so much sense that the opposition had no where left to go. It felt good to me to be bold and I give the glory and credit to Christ everlasting.
